Formerly known as Brother Jackson X (Guerrier), because of his enthusiastic search for knowledge and articulate representation of the truth, on Monday, November 21, 2016, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan bestowed on him the name, of Abdul Haqq Muhammad, which means, Servant of the Truth, one worthy of praise.
Student Minister Abdul Haqq Muhammad, affectionately known as “Brother Haqq,” serves as the Newark Representative of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Student Minister of Muhammad Mosque #25, located in Newark, New Jersey.
Brother Haqq accepted his own in 2008. In his search for the truth, Brother Haqq was captured by the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad by watching videotape messages of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan while waiting for his food at a Nation of Islam restaurant in East Orange, NJ. Soon those trips to satisfy his physical hunger became a frequent pilgrimage to feed his soul. He was invited by one of the Believers, to attend Muhammad Mosque.
This quest for knowledge and curiosity resulted in him accepting his own in 2008 where he became known as Brother Haqq. Like a sponge, Brother Haqq absorbed what he read from the Bible, Holy Quran and writings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and lectures by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Being a high-spirited soldier and gifted with how he articulated the message of Islam, Brother Haqq rose quickly through the ranks, as a (Lieutenant) to his present post of service, as the student minister of Muhammad Mosque #25.
After hearing opening remarks by Brother Haqq at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said of him, “To my wonderful little Newark Minister as I sat there listening to you, there was a big smile on my face and it reminded me of the time when the Elijah Muhammad first heard me speak. and he was sitting like myself behind next to Brother Malcolm and he had a big smile on his face and look at where time has brought me and look at where time will bring you if you keep on going.”
Besides being a student of the Truth, Student Minister Haqq is known for his activism. he has traveled across the country for over several years empowering at-risk youth, adults and communities with his inspiring testimonies, compelling personality, and fiery words. His speaking platforms consist of schools, jails, half-way houses, correctional institutions and houses of worship.
He has been a community activist in his city, for his activism in the school system hosting and facilitating school tours/campaigns.

Abdul Haqq Muhammad has a way of piercing the hearts of students and motivating them in a spiritual upliftment on college campuses, and have found multiple requests from institutions to motivate students.

AAbdul Haqq Muhammad has been on the frontline in the community to support anti-violence in partnership with the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery Center (OVP) and has supported initiatives throughout the city and surrounding areas.
